The Spanish present perfect is a compound verb form with two parts:
- Present tense of the auxiliary verb haber
- Past participle of the main verb

hablar (to speak)
(yo) | he hablado |
(tú) | has hablado |
(él) | ha hablado |
(ella) | ha hablado |
(Ud.) | ha hablado |
(nosotros) | hemos hablado |
(vosotros) | habéis hablado |
(ellos) | han hablado |
(ellas) | han hablado |
(Uds.) | han hablado |
Remember that in Spanish, subject pronouns are (optional).
ducharse (to take a shower)
(yo) | me he duchado |
(tú) | te has duchado |
(él) | se ha duchado |
(ella) | se ha duchado |
(Ud.) | se ha duchado |
(nosotros) | nos hemos duchado |
(vosotros) | os habéis duchado |

The present perfect progressive is formed with the verb llevar:
