Conjugaciones del infinitivo compuesto
The Spanish perfect infinitive is a compound tense formed with the infinitive of the auxiliary verb haber plus the past participle of the main verb.
Por ejemplo…
hablar (to talk, speak)
haber hablado |
comer (to eat)
haber comido |
ducharse (to shower)
haberse duchado |
Since the auxiliary verb is in the infinitive (unconjugated), the past infinitive is the same for all subject pronouns. In addition, the past participle is invariable.
Por ejemplo…
Quisiera haber comido … | I want to have eaten …
Ella quisiera haber comido … | She wants to have eaten …
Quisiéramos haber comido … | We want to have eaten … |
However, in the case of pronominal verbs, the reflexive pronoun must agree with the implied subject.
Por ejemplo…
Haberme despertado muy tarde, yo … | Having woken up very late, I …
Después de habernos mudado a España, nosotros … | After having moved to Spain, we … |
