Ello is the Spanish neuter tonic pronoun, used to mean "it" or "this" after a preposition when referring to something non-specific, such as a situation or idea.

Tomemos nota de ello. | Let’s make a note of this. | |
No tengo ganas para ello. | I don’t feel like it. |
Remember that when you’re referring to someone or something specific, you need the personal tonic pronoun él or ella, depending on the gender of the noun.
