Spanish languageNombres plurales - Spanish Plural Nouns

Making nouns plural in Spanish is slightly more complicated than in English, but it's not too bad.

If the noun ends in a vowel, add S.   casa
hombre
foto
casas
hombres
fotos
If the noun ends in any consonant except Z, add ES.   mujer
rey
mes
mujeres
reyes
meses
If the noun ends in Z, change the Z to a C and add ES. (Why?)   vez
lápiz
nariz
veces
lápices
narices

What did I tell you - pretty easy, right? Now try the test.

Note: The same rules apply when pluralizing adjectives.
